The Landman Family has owned and operated Camp Kennybrook for over 40 years; as a result, Howard and Stacey grew up at camp.
Howard, his wife Felicia and their children live in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. Felicia attended Queens College, oversees the Kennybrook website and is an active volunteer in the community and at Morgan and Reid's schools. Howard was a Kennybrook camper, counselor, basketball specialist, water ski director, group leader and is now the Director. He graduated from the University of Albany and Hofstra Law School.
Stacey and her twins, Mason and Sylvie, live in New York City. She graduated from The George Washington University and earned her Masters in Elementary Education form The Bank Street College of Education. Stacey worked as a preschool teacher in Manhattan for many years and is still involved in various areas of education. Stacey started at Kennybrook as a young child and has assumed many roles over the years. She is now the Director and oversees all camper issues. Stacey works closely with campers throughout the summer to help them adjust to camp, manage conflicts, and treat each other with Kennybrook respect and kindness.
Carole earned her college degree in Education and has always been involved with children and education. She is a Program Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of the Heckscher Foundation for Children. Carole and Peter built Kennybrook together and she continues to have a huge impact on every Kennybrook summer.
Peter was the heart and soul of Camp Kennybrook and his vision still guides us today. He was the ultimate 'camper' and loved every day spent on campus with his Kennybrook family. His devotion to Kennybrook motivated Howard and Stacey to learn all aspects of camping. Over the many years, Peter was a teacher, a coach, Regional Director of Admissions for The George Washington University, and Vice President of the American Camping Association.
Each member of the Landman family is dedicated to helping individual campers experience challenges, discovery and the development of life skills at Kennybrook. The family truly believes that camp is even more important now than it has been in the past because today's kids really need the opportunity "to unplug", to relax, have fun, and be themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.
